China Town, Tian Tian Chicken Rice, Singapore

Me and my boy went to visit Chinatown on one of the day during my stay in Singapore.

 Honey BBQ Pork Bun (S$1)

Bought this bun when we got down from the MRT station and on our way to find more food in the hawker's corner.

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown

Just passing by. The Tourist Information Centre is just right in front of this temple. Saw a fair few of tourists around here.

Tian Tian Chicken Rice @ Maxwell Hawkers Corner Chinatown

The famous chicken rice in Singapore, the Tian Tian Chicken Rice (they even have a website ._. , you can check out the menu and locations on their website) . Even Gordon Ramsay had a challenge with them, is that famous. So ME. decided to list their chicken rice on my must try list in Singapore and hence, here are we.

I've seen queue worst than this, I guess we were quite lucky to have a short queue like this eh.
We went there on one of the weekday and is about 1pm ish. Maybe this is why the queue wasn't that long.

In this stall, you have to order and pay at the counter first before joining the queue. The queue is for people to collect their food.
So you order > queue > collect food

 Half Chicken (S$12)

We ordered half chicken. We regretted it. This portion is for 3-4 people and not for 2. Is not. Nevertheless, we finished it. The meats were served rather cold which I dont quite like it, but the sauce it good. Overall it was pretty tasty ;) . Meats were cooked just right and is not too oily (unlike some of the chicken rice). I think the sauce is the secret to their tastiness.

After lunch, we had a little self tour sight seeing around chinatown ;)

 Flowery painted shop o:

 Chinatown Heritage Centre (S$10)

The Chinatown Heritage Centre is a Museum in Chinatown, reading some of the comments on tripadvisor, it seems pretty interesting, I think is about historical thingo, me no so interested in history. We did not went in there.

Tin Tin Shop O:

The Tin Tin Shop! I'm not too sure whether is the official shop but everything in there seem pretty legit haha. It has everything from tin tin (the cartoon), ranging from story books, stationeries, post cards and greeting cards to tin tin's figurines. An interesting little shop for all the tin tin fans out there.
